The Psychology of Colour in User Experience
UI cannot be separated from UX
I see common takes about how good UI does not necessarily mean good UX, but I do think that bad UI can terribly undermine good UX. I recently talked to a company that had an impressive product portfolio. However, the product had mixed reviews due to the direction it is going – and this is evident in the UI. It was surprising for me to learn that they had a good UX team set up, but the product does not reflect these findings. The first thing I looked for was the objective of the app, which I couldn’t find anywhere on their website or the summary of the app. They had no clear problem to solve, and no clear direction.
